ALASKA

 Dall Sheep
Our Sheep hunts take place in the Alaska Range just south of Fairbanks. The Alaska Range boasts some of the most breathtaking scenery that Alaska has to offer. Its lush Alpine meadows and vast glacial formations provide some of the finest Dall Sheep habitat in the Interior. This area is capable of producing 38” rams, or better. Walking is good, though hunters should be in condition to walk 3-5 miles per day. Our base camp consists of a separate tent for meal preparation and 6-8 man Cabela’s dome tents with cots for sleeping. Spike camps are 3 man pack tents. We will hunt daily out of base camps or spike out as needed to provide the best opportunity at a trophy ram. Sheep hunts take place in August and September

Moose & Interior Grizzly

Our Moose and Grizzly hunts take place in the Alaska Range south of Fairbanks. This area of the Alaska Range, with its heavy willow draws and large open meadows, provides ideal habitat for some of the best moose and grizzly hunting in Alaska. Both Moose and Grizzly can be hunted individually or in a combination hunt. There is an abundant population of both species, with an excellent opportunity for trophy animals. The area regularly produces 60” bulls and Grizzly up to 9’ square. At this time of year the full spectrum of fall colors are a sight not easily forgotten. Base camps vary in some locations from cabins to Cabela's dome tents with a separate cook tent for meal preparation. Grizzly hunts are April, May, and September. Moose hunts are in September

Coastal Brown Bear, Glacier Bear and Goat

Hunts take place in Southeast Alaska in one of the most game rich areas of the state. Its magnificent spruce forests, glacier fed fiord's, crystal lakes, fresh water streams that boast Salmon runs numbering in the thousands with wide beaches giving way to the Gulf of Alaska. Spring hunts are conducted by glassing the mountains and beaches for bears as they emerge from hibernation, this takes place in April and May. This is also the best time to hunt Glacier Bear, a rare blue color phase of the Black Bear found only in Alaska. Fall hunts take place in late September and October. These hunts are timed with Salmon runs so as to offer a congregating bear population feeding on the spawning Salmon. You can expect to encounter Brown Bears with hides that will square 8-10 feet. This area is also home to a large population of Mountain Goat, with light hunting pressure and excellent trophy potential. Hunts are conducted September through December.

Black Bear

Our Black Bear hunts take place north of Fairbanks in one of the most pristine wilderness areas left in North America. Our exclusive use area of 4.3 million acres combined with excellent bear habitat provide you with the finest Black Bear hunting in North America. Black and Cinnamon color phases may be readily taken. Due to no hunting pressure and the remoteness of the area, our bears range between 6’ 8” and 7’ 10”. Hunts are conducted over bait stations or spot and stalk. No better chance exists for bow, handgun or muzzle-loaders success at a truly large Black Bear. This hunt cannot be beat for size of animals, number of animals seen and success rate. Multiple bear limits are possible on some hunts. Fishing is also available upon request

Wolf

Hunt, Trap, and Call Hunts take place in Interior Alaska using spot and stalk methods or predator calling techniques to take these magnificent predators in the wilderness of Alaska. Wolves in Alaska range in color from coal black to gray and may be taken in addition to other big game species or on one of our winter wolf hunts. December - April ......................... Price $3,500

Mountain Goat Combination Hunts

We start hunting Mountain Goats on September 15th after they have their winter coats. These are 6 day hunts for $8,500, and we have only had one client go home without a mountain goat since 1996. The success rate is very high because we have several core areas in which to hunt, and we do not over hunt the areas. Our clients have taken 10 mountain goats since 2001 that have scored high enough to make the all time Boone and Crockett record book.

This hunt can be very physically demanding, especially if you are looking for a B&C contender, but it is this effort that makes it such a rewarding experience. I have always believed that you get out of a hunt what you put into it, and you will leave with a strong sense of accomplishment and pride. A black bear can also be taken on this hunt for a $1,500 trophy fee.

Brown Bear Combination Hunts

We offer 10 day brown bear hunts in both the spring starting around May 1 and in the fall starting on September 1. The spring hunts are done in combination with a black bear for no additional charge other than your tag. The fall hunts are done in combination with a moose, if the client draws the tag for the area, or with a mountain goat.
The cost of this hunt is $12,500 and the trophy fee for either the moose or the mountain goat is $4500.  The hunt is conducted primarily out of a comfortable tent camp with cots, lanterns, and home cooked meals. Occasionally, we will set up a spike camp for a couple of days in a remote area to wait out a large bear.  There is a $750 round trip charter fee and in-town lodging runs about $110/night in Cordova. Your hunting license will cost $85, a brown bear tag is $500, a black bear tag is $225, and a moose tag is $400. These are your only costs other than your airfare to Cordova. We do not have any hidden costs or charges. We will prepare your trophy to take back with you or arrange to have it shipped to you or to your taxidermist, whichever you prefer.

     FLYING

Flying in Alaska’s back country requires a great deal of skill, experience and knowledge. Safety is our number one concern. We have picked our Air Services for both safety and experience. They do their best to ensure prompt service, but they cannot and will not fly in bad conditions, (heavy rain, fog, high winds, etc.). The weather is out of our control, we rely on the expert knowledge and experience of our pilots. Your gear must be limited to 45 lbs. If you and your gear cannot go in and out of camp in one load, you will be charged for extra flights.
